Long ago on the island of Kauai a woman with gray blue eyes with two sons married the police commissioner and had two more sons- the days of taro farming and corruption were upon them- opium was used to help the farmers work all day- over time , many Japanese Hawaiian families bought goods from the old Ching store- and when they couldn't pay - they signed their land over to the chings.... The chings became rather wealthy-
he quit being a police commisner and his boys all became criminals- one died of a heart attack- one shot himself in the head- and the other is just stupid- the other son is doing 16 years in halava prision in honolulu- the daughter in law is the one who cared for him - he once looked at me at the beach park with a budwiser in his hand he sad'it s all bullshit'
i still see his face when someone is lying to me-
