there were hours
when the foolish mind
danced
the music was a roaring wedding
in the inner ear
in the street the traffic hummed
the eye entertained
the dance of the seven veils
but it was behind a curtain
the kiss was like a ghost
the wet lips imagined
only the smile was like lipstick
there were hours
when the clock
stopped
the night in bed
was a dream
as moonlight
got lost in the clouds
yes in the land of no

I seem to recall a few of those nights. A finely woven poem where the words are like a fine silk placed where they needed to be. Enjoyed.
