twisted the metal
feathers in the freezer
debts and owe- the crow
she looked on
in a comforting glow

the beards
the skin
the shaving creme
saved all that up
to leave and dream

the hair that tangled up in there
left her with a certain flare

watched and clever the cat
awoke
to the lasting affects of an artichoke

each time she spoke
the dream became
another
filled it all
honey in the sun
sticky with fun
kisses under the wind filled sails

what a treasure she was
fourth of july all inside
never did have to hide
that beauty throttled her every nerve
loved her hands
and every curve
he could not

no matter what he tried

beside all that pride
turned him all inside out
crept out of darkness
like a trout
mossy and silky silver
he swam upstream
until he found his lonesome dream
the half he had
he could not keep
without reason
he started to weep
all the things he meant to say
had suddenly gone astray
her smile spoke of another time
aplace he could only visit
but could never stay
there was really nothing more that she could say

Not an easy poem to comprehend, but worth the effort.

he started to weep
all the things he meant to say
had suddenly gone astray
her smile spoke of another time
a place he could only visit
but could never stay
there was really nothing more that she could say...

I recommend this poem and enjoyed the read. 8)

for me- this poem is connected to a few others- when i publish my book it will perhaps make sense in a more linear way- but ; once again- it is a cathartic purge, which reveals itself to me- as time rolls on- this poem like so many others is my 'road dog' and brings me the scent of vanilla late in the evening- peace= and thank you-
