On the shit list
As free as a bird
Cutting those thick cords
That hold others down
The only thing
That can shut me up
Is a bullet fired
Your evil secret police
I don’t believe the bullshit
Guilt trips, Messiahs
Monotheistic extortion
A shit list allows me freedom

true believers who have settled their accounts with reality

true believers who have settled their accounts with realty lead from behind...
interesting... depending upon what one believes, and if one
wants to lead... or follow.
have to ponder that one for awhile, but sounds plausible.
the typical reality, as evidenced through human senses, is what I
have a hard time believing, or at the least accepting as primary,
(to what I perceive), as other higher realities.
Leaders and followers can interchange their roles, often without
knowing it.

That is an inarticulate reply on my part. I was trying to keep it short because I thought I was veering off topic. I sure don't want none to put me on the shit list because of that.
True Believers I was referring to the little book by the San Francisco longshoreman back in the fifties.
I was thinking that it might be possible to subvert that mindset by other means than confronting it directly, using an asymmetric approach, by a subtle use of humor, the guerrilla warfare of irony, if you can get them laughing at themselves it might let a ray of light in through the armor plate defense of their frightened egos.

oh... never mind then.
On second thought, never mind my mind.
Wait a minute...

RE: Weaponized Irony
The Ironic Cloud
By D. Graham Burnett and Jeff Dolven, from “Irony in the National Defense.” Last winter, Lockheed Martin Corporation approached Princeton University with a request for research initiatives. In April, Burnett, an historian of science, and Dolven, a professor of English, submitted the proposal, the cost of which they estimated to be $750,000; Princeton declined to forward it to Lockheed.
Irony is a powerful and incompletely understood feature of human dynamics. A technique for dissimulation and “secret speech,” irony is considerably more complex than lying and even more dangerous. Ideally suited to mobilization on the shifting terrain of asymmetrical conflict, inherently covert, insidiously plastic, politically potent, irony offers rogue elements a volatile if often overlooked means by which to demoralize opponents and destabilize regimes. And yet while major research resources have for forty years poured into the human sciences from the defense and intelligence community in an effort to gain control over the human capacity to lie (investments that led to the modern polygraph, sodium pentothal–derived truth serums, “brain fingerprinting,” etc.), we have no comparable tradition of sustained, empirical, applied investigation into irony.

Only too true... but I've been working hard on that issue.

What about just being?
Oh absolutely, and that's more toward what I was saying...
if one wants to...
there is a need for all aspects of life and living to be filled.
