Mother Nature's Shoulders

A dismal world to be left behind
Who would stay and remain a fool ?
Placing one’s heart in a place unkind
Under a mad despot’s decadent misrule
Stepping swiftly back away from it all
Never again to heed another miscall

Their miserable being for a glorious afterlife
It is sad how life has to be that way
For all our knowledge and weekly strife
Can we predict beyond our dying day ?
Seemingly knowing where the unfaithful will go
Until their deaths they shall never know

Nature’s bounty sweetly bestowed to us all
And those who rather take than receive
Thinking of lumber watching trees grow tall
The golden bulls in which they believe
Distant from them in this green wood
Living our lives the way we should

Closer to nature we spend our days
Feeding ourselves instead god’s golden bulls
Far better paths and many better days
Than those twisting a dead man’s rules
Their glimmering gold bovines, foddered on lies
A gluttonous evil spirit that never dies

Ill will and deception spawns golden bulls
The dark power tending them will bring
Hunter and quarry never agree upon rules
Their whistling teaches no birds to sing
Caught up in all the greed and lies
Feeding fat golden bulls that never die

Oppressively demanding not long after fed
Lowing ever so sweetly before each feeding
Leading the herdsman instead of being led
Rewarding rich red blood during ritual bleeding
Live no lies and forget those golden rules
By starving to death god’s golden bulls

Finishing this poem in a better way
Appreciating the golden rays of another sunrise
Thankful to awake and enjoy each new day
Never again to care where all the time flies
Having pondered what being human really means
Upon Mother Nature’s shoulders, all life leans

please tell mother nature that
grandfather wants a word with her...

meanwhile, a new earth is upon us,
I can hear it coming
