the repose of an awakened sun

Post by sweetwater » December 18th, 2012, 8:29 pm

the afternoon awakens like a soft kiss in
the motioning of my heart to release the silent
faltering sky
in the repose of an altogether
falling sunrise and dream for tomorrow

in light of nightly nocturne and dreams that pass between us

in the movement of things and sound
in the landscape of your voice

and how things change
and change back to change again

move one way and then the other
in the glistening glancing gladstones
of giant footsteps in the sand

as gargantuan and rabelais
sing the song of cheer

come trembling back in the falling
sun once more the moon becomes

the debris of lost adventures
and the beginning of space

saliant endeavours to leave the earth
it's distant dialogue where

to lose the expectations of thinking
it should be one way or the other

or just involving ourselves with
the way we want to be and become
in the being and alive

or would like it to be

and move
in the flow of eternal gestures

and

to not ask of another how it is that they should live
but live ourselves in the way of our heart

and how the moving mountainous myriad of marvel
magically mystifies and marries the opposite
of time itself

to disappear in the waxing wild wisterias
of weathering the storm of discontent
and dogmatic dictates of a drumming afternoon

and how we want our life to be in the wake
of your breathing in my arms like desire delicately
placed between our beating throbs of throe

and to express it freely in the opening
of your eyes like an afternoon in summer
in the sun and window to the wind

and openly and with love to hold you
as it has always been between us
