Christmas Poem For The Broken Heart

Post by achilles » December 24th, 2012, 10:49 am

CHRISTMAS POEM FOR THE BROKEN HEART

you won't get the entire poem here
no, it's been written already
somewhere else

that other place where poems are hidden
what? you expect complete disclosure
complete honesty, truth?

but it's christmas eve and we keep
the lie public

A pithy poem 8)

The truth is Nietzsche died for my sins
Mama please don't take my Kodachrome away
I need my illusions to make it through the night.
I used to be smart.

did you manage to read before they burned

I did read this one.
Achilles in Vietnam
Author: Shay, Jonathan.

"What We Haven't Learned About War We Have Repeated: Warriors As Victims"
I am sorry about Patroclus. I always thought Hector had it coming.
If you can't give me love and peace, Then give me bitter fame. — Akhmatova.
