Jungle Calm

O to be in Cozumel
by the clear blue sea
white sand and silence.
Mayan fortress standing
guard, echoing a past
reduced to speculative
pottery shards.
Their tears buried in
the ground, place where
joy and understanding
can be found.
Smiles on these Mayan
faces, leaving traces of
what was, perhaps it does
not take a hydrogen bomb
to reduce immense civilization
to jungle calm..................WIREMAN

It's amazing what we can learn from the past. Hey WIREMAN did you have a hand in building the new museum that you are talking about in your posts????
