words
are the symbols
from within

they are woven
into patterns of thought
designs of our being
touching our souls
lighting our perspectives

images of consciousness
blowing thru our minds
inciting the words
into life
to share with others

words they speak
words they tell
words to be engraved
words to be erased
our utterances
rely upon the word

in the beginning:
the silence
stirred by desire
to live
thru words
creating our deeds
our needs
fulfilling self
to bloom
to perfume
in the garden
of existence

exposing the spirit
the word
is moved
by the winds
of inspiration
to give / to take
in balance
for inner harmony

the sacred word is in the room
everybody jump up & go BOOM
don't nobody know what all is about
i never whisper when necessity
calls to shout Shout SHOUT

... Thx Mark -
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

The word is mightier than the sword. Or something like that. Anyway, this poem has it right on the nail. Fine work. 8)

Wireman, these poems reminds me of more than fifty years ago, when I used to watch Steve Allen's Show on the tube, back inside the beltway, which was only starting to be built. Back then, it was called "Shirley Highway". Boo Yah! A return to the future!... 8)

Just a word, from an old pelican bird... A new beat word is being heard... :)

groovy- i eat this avacado in honor of you
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
