i snuck out the night
to wait & watch the window
a promise of power my hands in the sky
a favorite evening in the family eye
i was the emotion devotee
the mutual kind of two together
you - we /or was it you/me?
the hour of home
here God was full & felt me
i was the bread boy
i was warm & did not want
you to ask another or even begin
to think that way
you turned out the light
before I could see
but I had come for this
& it was alright with me now remembering a promise
i had forsaken to compare an each to an each
for all the deracinated years to come
i snuck out the night
i snuck out the night
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Re: i snuck out the night
Perhaps surprisingly, given the importance of conformity as a theoretical construct in social psychology and the profound implications of anarchy and nightly charades of 'power seeking purpose' has in relation to not conforming to social norms ... it pays to be a night stalker !
