Old Games Cheap

Post by the mingo » October 24th, 2013, 1:50 pm

I passed the storm & stormed the pass
but the Indians up there said no to admittance -
it's ok I understand the politics at least of it
hell, around here they pile up tires
and burn them as an act of communication

a train crosses the room to enter my ear - it tickles ya know -
and when it blows it's warning at the rail crossing the alligators that live
in the swamps of my frontal lobes give birth to wayward lemmings
that run down my nose seeking an out or lunch -

- some poems get stranded in the canadian arctic with hope of rescue problematic -
the furnace turns on as the skies darken -

hell i owe everybody and that ain't all -
gonna run it thru the machine just to see what pops out -
last time I did that had to spend three days & nights punching little holes all up & down the tubing for venting -
the day girls came after breakfast and helped me with it -
told me that after eating the dawn they needed something to do
i blessed them without blame and set them to scouting -
they just love a good scout
when they meet wolves on the trail they feed them the bones of Mussolini & Picasso
& come back to me with stories of how the wolves eat it all
with nothing left behind and how the wolves have told them
that the bones of Mussolini have a sour dry taste
& the bones of Picasso are hairy & almost sweet -

i understand it as a balance -
the balance between the work of the spirit
& the anarchy of the soul -
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Perhaps surprisingly, given the importance of conformity as a theoretical construct in social psychology and the profound implications of anarchy has in relation to not conforming to social norms ... it pays to be a criminal !

el mingo, you have woven together a ceremony of thinking
that transcends the normal activities of polar bears and coyotes
whose groans and howls lie in shadows of subterfuge concealing
bandanas tie-dyed in colors of the northern lights to be used
for holding up trains bound for the glory of pete seegar pantomiming
cigar smoke rolling out to the southern winds returning to cuba, asap.

gracias for the head trip.
