I loved that Venus in Furs song
it was those shiny boots of leather that smelled of crystal
I love her velvet underground I got for Nico a velvet pistol
I want her to be my mirror for the death angel baby
it's the way she walks, it's the way she talks
she can tease me any day of the week
I'm down on my knees again, don't mean maybe
it was that sleep of a thousand years again
and those different colors made of tears
I could see them like a million beads of colored light
dripping down the faces of the cruel dreamers, so cool

It was that insane walk on the wild side of our fool selves
and all them colored girls singing in our deepest fears
telling us how come we been so bad and we been so sad
It was that Warhol banana on that album cover
that saluted us as all the freaks and plum fairies

and it all slides into a black sea

into the black existentialist vacuum
