I'm tired of being tired
I'm tired of being sick

but I'm not bored with a body
that gets tired and sick
at least I'm amused with what it means
to be in a sick and tired body
shall I go on, or is this just a little to maudlin
I never really thought of myself as being neurotic
I always thought being neurotic was for normal people
us crazy people don't have time to be neurotic
we are too busy watching all the normal people
go about their daily routines
like watching the super normal people tell us how to think
if only we all just conformed and fit in everything would be fine
at least that's what they tell us so we won't all go insane at once
can't have that happening, what would happen if we all just went
mad
they got experts, doctors, talking heads and pundits to keep us sane
who am I to complain, they got pills and thrills to keep me that way
in fact they got fracking, and surveilance and GMO's and global harming
to make sure this all just keeps running like trains on time
they got hollywood movies and perpetual wars to keep us safe and tame
and you wonder why I'm sick and tired of being tired and sick sick sick

I'm so sick I can't hardly tell they from us anymore.
I'm so sick my dog growls at me and backs away with tail between his legs; when I come into the room.

If not for reading the poetry on studio eight I would be a lot sicker

sick- is a phrase used now by the surfer groms and the hip slick and cool- as if to say-' it is so great it is sick'
then there is the sickness that will never go away- but with a little bit of kindness- it will do better things- like play frisbee- instead of -eating a hot dog- or taking ssomeone with you to a small island-
or is it sick to forget - that we have been sick so many times before- and this is an ideal chance to change- the song 'how bad do you want it' has saved me several times- i have a thing for that song 'down in mexico' by the coasters as well-
