sitting on the crapper
pants around my ankles
reading 'bout some kid
from wyoming took off years ago
for california looking for truth
happened out he disappeared
without a trace -
/ i got november winds outside this morning
& teeth that have dwindled in number
and gleem
but the thing i'm wondering
if disappearing
was what
that kid wanted
if disappearing was what it was all about
he didn't have to go all the way
to the coast to do that
he could have done that right there in wyoming
hell - he could have done that
while sitting on the crapper to home
with all the ghosts of the Cheyenne
locked in restless wandering outside

sometimes it takes a journey of a lifetime
to find that this life ain't for you...
