I wonder if I am almost out of time
for new poems, c'mon we know there is a limit
should I look away, ignore mother earth's all point bulletins
there is neither an endless supply of time or raping of the planet

to feed our needy belly, its time to come to grips my friends
we have been mikin' that old cow for a long damn time
and her tits are withering away like that last piece of fruit way at the top
at apple pickin' time

hey, its been a good run I guess, this experiment
some call civilization, but the news seems to refute
and this morning the words of my dear friend Dakini are echoing in my ears,
" HUMANS.....WHAT A SPECIES !!"

I WONDER.. the same things- over and over- but really- it seems the clever ones - are not interested 'it' when it is over- more like how to get started- like an old car that needs encouragement- === i guess i need that too-
but i like being human- even though i have been seriously FLAWED in many ways- i am beginning to see that - if i were my dog-- and if i were the barn cat-
or if i was a saxophone in another life-
