o there's plenty of fish
the houses of their generations go on & on
all talkin' in a phenomenon
central tenets & peripheral visions
hobos in disneyland puns & poems
last night i closed
this morning i opened
had to shoot two famous definitions
before breakfast
first one i took by surprise
second one i shot when he came over
to help the first
no one else came after that
guys walkin around dressed in the ghosts
of the dinosaurs
hey hey hey
we all in the play
easy to say & it's always true
comes down to it i got ancestry
whole line of graves behind me
some nights they all stand up together
and say to me
"hey, you lyin' little prick,
there ain't no fish here!"

my ancestors go musical, filmy &/or filmsy to talk to me
(the southern ones have a particular sense of humor)
they can easily make skulls talk
& left you mesmerized & wanting to whistle
among dusty hills and a black & white sea
