I have learned from determined trial and error
I can crank the casement window in minor increments
of ambient comfort so as to allow specific doses of winter chill
to settle upon my right cheeck
sometimes that means the window is ajar three quarters of an inch
and other times that means an inch and a half,
I must apologize that I cannot translate my thoughts into metric expressions
I think I must have been sleeping on my desk in school that day
But the point is i have discovered that the amount of opened window
is what creates the perfect balance of toasted skin, on my left cheek
aided by my the beckoning flames of the fire in my wood stove,
and I suppose this really isn't a legitimate science
but I have learned how to administer precise adjustments,
another eighth of an inch of winter chill, as I add another log
to the fire, but Wait !.....not too big a log as the send the whole damn
harmony thing spiraling toward a doomed date with destiny
No , that would not do, we must have symbiosis
right amount of air = right size log
Ok, I suppose it is a bit of a cheeky theory
but I maintain that the balance on the skull from right to left
keeps the brain in the middle,
