Overlap of my life and death

Post by Lucy! » March 9th, 2005, 11:31 am

Life,
a petal torn from its home
you delicate marvel of vegetation
Life,
almost ripped from me
with intoxicated breath
Life,
you almost escaped me
in one concrete truth

Existence,
you were almost shattered
had the lip of life
not broken your fall

Life,
your honesty was served to me
on the warmest of plates
the darkest of clouds

I touched your pool of nothingness
with my unconscious eyes

Black quiet
no slumber
life breathing at its barest
words escaped in parenthetical comments
while my primordial form lay bleeding
unknowing
un conscious
melting into blandness

Time collapsed
until the fiddle of my tongue
caught the melody of existence

Life was offered to me again
a portrait of rawest pain and love
I purchased it
with the genuine tears of my soul

I was reborn

Life
you precious petal of grace
may you blossom within me
meld with the new soil of my spirit

You kissed into me
a second chance
so that I may value
the beauty of Life
with the stroke of mortality

Both life and death overlapped
that saddened night

And I am a child of both

Sometimes you have to fly without wings to learn how to live

Luceeeeeee

This is maybe the best thing I've ever seen from you

You always speak from the heart and experience

but this one really reached in there.
