collapsed into a river
of dark waters not habitable
to sharx or manta rays
only puffs of creamy breasts
that heave at the thought
of some skull cracked rock hero
that couldn't sing his fuckin'
way out of a zip lick bag of junk

paste the used condums of last nites
joy across your own fuckin' mirror
see what a lost waste to human race
you have become in your weak-ass attempts
at bringin forth some miracle to your friends
that hang out in back alleys snorting
powders rubbed raw by the calloused hands
of poor mother fuckers in the jungles
of some goddamned corrupt south american
kuntry hungry for the commercialization package
that is beamed across this raped planet
for the uncontrolled growth of corporate greed

wipe your bloody asses with the program
of the fuckin' daily script of television
brought to you by the soft-dicked maniacs
running your brain from zero to zero
in 3 minute splats of bullshit to make
you feel useless that you don't have
all this shit to muck up your stinkin' life

you go out and score some kinda over-hyped
drug from some cloud brained creature
standing on some little used street corner
bustin' jaws about what a great fuckin' deal
that he is makin' for you because
...you are so fucking cool, man!

take your self pity and wrap it around your
charmin-soft ass wipe and make believe you
know the motherfuckin answers that wise men
have conjured up in their own overdosed on god
skulls wreaking havoc upon those that come in
contact with their spirit of goodness that
shines like 6,000 emeralds in a night time sky
that nobody has ever fuckin' seen because
all the goddamn lights of the city mask them
from your eyes that see only dreams of make-believe
and how you will circumvent the reality of life
by taking shortcuts across the pastures filled
with 4,000 pounds of cow dung shit out by cows
destined to the big mac market, the burger king
throne of double cholesterol decked over by
slaughtered pigs over fried to a useless strip
to make your pitiful little tummy full so you
can say what a great meal youve eaten because
the madness of our media has mesmerized you
until you bleed so bad from stomach cancer
that the hospital refuses your admittance
because you dont have any fuckin insurance

there is no escapin the truth that burns
like a blowtorch deep inside your fuckin head
and until you goddam wake up from this mother-
fuckin overcommercialized lure for riches
that your mothers and fathers have drove
themselves silly over you will not dare
seek the real fuckin' way that so many others
have tried in fuckin' vain to find without
a damned clue which direction to go in
because the word of salvation has been
trademarked by a bunch of over-zealot screwballs
humpin the black book thinkin that their
cheap ass orgasm opens the doors of godhead
when they really dont know what the fuck! they
are talkin about because they are tryin their
god-damnedest to repeat all the catchall phrases
that have been preached to them by god-gigolos
standin high and mighty behind their pulpits
hiding their fuckin hard-ons raised high
because of some little alter boy dressed in
some macabre display of feminine stylin'.

brothers and sisters it is your own fuckin life
that you have to save and youd better goddamn
get off your dream horse and ride into the
reality that any fuckin salvation is in your
own motherfuckin hands and there aint no
other answers you are goin to find outside yourself.

ambitious piece written in 2001, but could have been written yesterday....not much changes in that regard where masses behave they way they are instructed to according to the advertisers that rule the world, this totally contrived world that benefits their bottom lines...and few question this allegiance to any measurable degree, so for poets, and the conscious it can be very frustrating...talking heads , paid puppets deliver the scripted "news"....the propaganda that sells shit.....sells you a lifestyle first, then the crap that will facilitate that style you come to believe you thought of on your own

So true, SAW. ran into this piece today while cleaning up some files, read it and thought, this is still pertinent some 12+ years later... post it, old man!


Who was it that said, the more things change the more they stay the same... something that i can certainly agree with today and some reflections about time passed only 10+ year or so. It's only that damn Uber-Corporate power that continues getting it's stranglehold on "we the people"... and "we" seem to be oblivious to that power regardless of the media reporting record profits of the elite and the take-overs they seem to be accumulating almost weekly and 'we the people" seem to say, when's the next game or the next race..?
