the thought comes unbidden
the world is gigantic
the wind blows in
connecting me to it
a cat lies in my path
and my dog goes for it
what is the chance for that moment
as my neighbor comes out to share in this connection
is their meaning
or just haphazard meanderings
does it go deep
or is it all just things
apart but not
just changing composition
flowing to the next happenstance
entropy at its finest
