[img] all these years
she wore in her eyes
flat black dark with sparks
stir ups on her ankles
little stars where there was once
a fine strong intelligent woman

she had learned to be logical
she weighed out
every little thing
she said 'we dont talk about the spiritual'
JAH and zion were here with ganja
she said she was free
like bob marley

but i knew her wel
of smuggling preaching
the marijuana gospel
of which i was well schooled

she was a smuggler
a juggler
and very alone
even paranoid
but with all the children grown up now
and the grandchildren here
she seemed to get more and more
in fear
all that love
up in smoke
she just took another toke
i like smoke
really i do
but why the bong on the thanksgiving table?
she smoked and smoked
preached and preached
the relax triology man
likes jamacia
the skinny girl
she calls herself

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

sounds a lot like people i have known....seems like all of us are being guided by forces we cannot always explain ....

Time has changed us-
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
