roofyism

Post by saw » July 16th, 2014, 11:24 am

I've taken to living up on the rooftop
my involuntarily inherited sanctuary
my adopted sacred space for serious sky-dreaming
my ascent to contentment

I have my maple adirondack chair,
hauled up with an antique block and tackle
the seat
of my little poems

the bigger ones as well,
I have my woven rope hammock
to lie upon
for careful cloud investigations and analysis

I talk every morning to my tomato plants
flourishing in big yellow-green tubs
I blow my warm bedside breath on each and every flower
I encourage them to reward me

I meditate towards the rising sun,
i have become a flesh and bones receiver
my chakra dialed to epiphany,
I pick up all the lost wandering signals

clicks and pops, from deepest space
language, from beyond the unmarked graves
I arrange it all
in an order out of my control

it all merely tumbles into place,
and i immediately feel better
calmer
sponge-bathed by ancient therapeutic fingers

conditioned, to face the mad austerity down on the ground,
and it occurs to me, this never happens...
ever, inside the four hard walls of the rest
of my house
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

thanx Arcadia....the carpet is made in a fair trade setting from recycled soda bottles, so completely waterproof....holding up very well so far...
