like a cat-
dodging motion
kind of landing on my feet

the state of mind that comes from eschewing muiti-tasking in favor of a more focused existence is slipping away....electronics addicts will never miss anything.....oh yeah, except everything truly meaningful.....if you can't slow down, breathe.....and be in the moment the universe is offering you will only learn what someone else wants you to learn

True, creativesoul. And yep, saw. In my favorite old neighborhood bar, where they used to jaw and slap each other on the back, I witnessed the surreal spectacle of a dozen people at once peering into their glowing smart phone screens, fingers and thumbs working overtime. Task this! ....

I find it difficult to lay the blame fully upon the shoulders of we mere mortals watching a screen over looking and talking with each other. Ever since a painting was framed and mounted to a wall in one's parlor, people have since been riveted to the screen with static pictures, moving pictures, colored pictures and plenty of opinions being spewed by those behind the mic who also are on the screen.
The computer has drawn us all even closer to a screen as we sit for hours looking at both pictures and words covering any and all subjects we can imagine right here! inside this monitor. And technology has our once simple telephone turned into a miniature screen that is portable enough to carry around wherever we go this device goes with us.
No... it is something more insidious at play here. It's not an American device or European or Oriental or anyone people's addiction but the world wide addiction into staring into a screen of ANY SIZE captivates us, mesmerizes us, cuts us off from hu'man contact willingly. We can't turn it off without feeling we're losing something much bigger than ourselves. And by doing so we are losing ourselves into this cyber-world we are inhabiting so much that in time we'll have nothing left but some screen to keep us happy and contented... robotic-like we sit in a trance riveted to some screen immune to everything around us. It's akin to sexual self-pleasuring but encompasses the whole world and beyond...
Farewell, hu'manity! It's been nice knowing you. Now excuse me... I have to check my Facebook account and see if there is anything worth seeing. And then there is always Litkicks... NPR.org.... nastysex.yum... amazon.com, I need some food to maintain this life... and... and....blah,blah, blah... who cares... who the fuck cares anymore who you are? i am cyberman, that's all i am, cyberman.
