shandy poem

Post by whoaisme » August 22nd, 2014, 4:56 am

shandy poem

deathstench
movelessmuch
at once uncovered
by shandy
securing sweet citrus
shandy

hide me in
the shadow of
your wings
from those who are assailing
me

O shandy you rain
on my drought'd lips!
O shandy there's storms
moving from your
bottle to
my belly!
O shandy you're rich
like an infant!

where earth is lost
by way of distance
from unutter'd stars

a bottle tilt'd
towards fickle
crying iron
bars and
smiling invisible bars

prism and
halt'd time
for one second
of light
as it enters
what is dreamt
what is allow'd

by imaginations
with no ability
to see past
Hilltop, there's
worlds beyond
Georgia Street

bar stools
meditation cushions
cool and cold pillows

malt'd dreamweave
with other natural flavors

lemon rhines
and wheat field's spines

midnight's making
bathed in shandy
noonday's doing
bathed in shandy

as my stupor won't
leave this box, i
light a cigarette
and hope
for shandy
for all:

the mother giving birth
to triplets in war zone,
Lou Rawls at his dead end street,
the widower,
single 20 somethings
wondering if solitude is
a sin,
the young girl who goes
to the bathroom
to vomit after
every meal,
Coleman Hawkins' ghost
who followed me to
a bus stop bench
where i wrote my name:

YOU ARE NOT ALONE
EVER

ceilingshandy
stolenshandy
shatter'dshandy
tooyoungforthisshandy
waygoneshandy
lostandfoundshandy
beatandblueshandy
wetooshandy
nakedshandy

O shandy touch me
who weeps ashes
onto furnace cheeks!

O shandy see me
who lifts gravel
from out of shoes
who has unenduced
Blakean visions of
children teaching parents
how to pray carrying
them past caskets
holding the light
as close as God!

O shandy guide those
who heave obese road maps
lost in the dynamite
cosmos of being near
enough to cherish
constantly baptized by sweat

blue shandy
gold shandy

--tree branches unbroken
approve this message

PSA: try not to bite your
nails while drinking shandy
it might get jealous

somebody (shandy?) bless
me i keep sneezing
picket fences surrounding
2 bedroom houses
called quaint with
$300,000 price tags--

who will less
who will speak

truth to power
at least as it is
known and how
and why and
why not.

the owl's eternal
cry, the tuna
are going to fuck
us up
in the next life.

the bee's are dying
the salmon are dying
the bears are dying

what isn't dying
O shandy
what isn't dead
illumined skulls
through two holes
brain big but not
as big as shandy, stars,
planets

soul strong
found in every
all ways,
O shandy your
greatest art
is drowning
me
"From the sudden invasion of a mind not my own in the world. This I will record. For whom? For m y s e l f, beyond denial and beyond indifference." - Philip Lamantia

shandy, purple whisky,
the uplift, the beatdown,
ah, they know the secrets
of perfect imperfection,
ah god the whole thing's
alive and dying, praying,
living and shedding
skins ..

:P
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!

we each find our elixir
magic potion that helps the words out
some sooner, some later
