it's easy to forget alcohol is a known depressant....and so those it that trap, continue to do exactly the wrong thing, feed the beast....you can lead a horse to water, but sometimes she prefers bourbon....though depression, alcoholism and isolation can have many causes, the biggest one in my mind is lack of imagination...the yin and yang of that is, artists often fall victim...genius' in their craft, but lost souls when no one is looking...i think Robin Williams may fall into that category
