rivers don't run back
only thoughts carry us there -
drown oppression now

rivers run downhill, I noticed,
the cycle, a yearning to return
to an ocean from which it was born,
but you never know in those canyons . . .

out on the mighty river
beware not to stare too long
the siren Lorelei
would have you crash upon the rocks

Lorelei is hot
she means you no good
but she is hot

i'm too friggin' old to handle the hot stuff, even a good salsa for my chips fucks with me.

the ghost pepper
sends even the youngest
partaker writhing in
agony to the ground
& with time this to
will pass, as does the
river as we sit upon
its bank watching the
eternal flow, her waters
like milk soothing the
raging fires of desire

thunderbolts to my chest these days are often - a warning- that i gotta change- and well- some of us- were not meant to live the life of the cookie cutter life- i wanted to be like the girls that had perfect hair and make up- but i found myself in the river seeking God - i had to toch the ocean to feel real once- lorlei sounds pretty hot
