veiled bride

Post by the mingo » August 31st, 2014, 7:48 pm

every poem
every jam
every word
is a veiled bride
in a dress worn only on this one occaision
standing behind a window
flanked by her maids
sealed off for this one passing moment
by the reflection of the world just beyond
that waits
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

they sell the idea of the bride in the media as a promise of some kind of happiness that can be found when you have the groom- unless i have it all wrong- i loved four grooms- and i miss the weddings, and the sex, and sleeping together- and - really- the only veils i see are the ones that i placed between me and the ones i loved
i love the music- the sadness because the HONEY MOON is infact really never the way they sold me the idea- i waited sometimes for years with whatever i could muster to make it work=
and it didnt
oh yeah- i still love them all- and they still love me
but there are still things that are better left to the great mystery

i wanted the bride and the groom
to get along
and make babies and live ahppily ever after
and that just isnt the way it turns out- clearly the viels are interlaced with my desires and expectations and very hard lessons- would i turn back the hands of time-?

no
i wish i could really dig it up= but for now i am going to shut the fuck up
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

everything we create has a chance for bliss
we put it out there to the congregation
gathered for the feast
and as you suggest, the crowd waits for the unveiling
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
