revolving doors

I have cargo ships full of great ideas,
problem is ten minutes later
I have lost them in a sea of uncollated pages
of swirling wind and rain, often
gone forever below the breaking caps of dead black sea
you could say it was my memory I guess
taking a beating from the reaper
inside my skull, the slick one
than runs around dancing on the delete buttons,
that little fucker is a most elusive opponent
and violent.....likes to erase data
with a baseball bat, he's
a sick little leprechaun after my lucky charms,
a nasty little determined imp, that I try to trick
doing crossword puzzles
taking ginko biloba,
but he dives down the alleys
of the noggin like a wharf rat on crack,
into a maze of unforgiving wet tangles....
I only see his dirty ass and his long tail
vanishing
into the darkness of marching time
and what the fuck, I'll get plenty
of new ideas even better than the ones
