The moon lights my morning;
There's no sign of the sun;
I can hear the Ravens song;
Chills run up my spine.
Pain in my ankle is singing;
Oh how I wish this day was done;
Please lord don't let it last to long;
For I fear I might loose my mind.
Halloween crosses thoughts;
Now my sweet tooth kicks in;
Carmeled apples and candy corn;
Oh how I have the craving.
Remembering what I've been taught;
To avoid the nagging from within;
It's so hard to fight when I am torn;
Maybe my hearts not worth saving.
I can see the masks of all;
Trick or treaters all around;
My mind dances with emotion;
And slowly the stress begins to quake.
Soon now my thirty fourth year shall call;
And my soul shall be bound;
Leaving too much of the commotion
And the hope that I may never break.

Thoughts of October
And above me the stars align
But not yet with my own
And the night birds sing
Whilst the demon haunts this restless soul.

Re: Thoughts of October
34 for years? Is that an anniversary or a birthdate?
I hope the pain in your ankle has subsided. It sounds like you have a lot on your mind this autumn. Thinking is a good thing! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I hope you enjoy the festivities of the season. I never was fan of Halloween but that's just me. I don't have much of a sweet tooth. But I guess I do enjoy seeing the little kids dressed up in costumes and giving them candy at the door. Then again, I want them to go away! Hahah... I'm getting old now, I guess. Good grief, I hope I don't turn into a bitter old lady! No! Not that!

Re: Thoughts of October
Thank you! I'm not normally a fan of Halloween either but, for some reason my sweet tooth is high. As for my ankle I pulled a couple of muscles and they shall heal soon. I hope. Thanks again! Jess
