Cannot rely on my thinking
That's where I am at
I hear
I just have to put distance
Between the rockabilly the hard place
Exposure
To the light
But my secrets come out
Wanting to fight
The man next to me
Smells so good
Focus on wherever I am at that time
I kind of hear
But I don't want to listen
I come here on auto pilot
Car drives me here
I am not sure about anything
Really
Flirtation to get my needs met
Who am I today?
With out the connection to another?
Just who I am
That is all
This is all I got
I can fill myself with coffee
Get to the gym
Talk to a friend
But what I am
Is like little sparks
That light inside
Brilliant
Even if I cannot see it

inner life rules
i ride train
strangers talk
they spill their
guts
everybody hears
its like the flood
gates are opened
when their stop is
announced by the
conductor, they
run for the door
not even a goodbye
such is life

Years ago on a site called Litkicks whenever I read something that got to me & I could get right down with my comment to such a piece would always be "Sparkle on the Monkey Train!" so - ahem -
