$65 ? damn - I once crossed the United States end to end in a little Dodge Colt with a hundred bucks in my pocket - and I still had about thirty bucks when I got to California - about ' 74 or
' 75 - after the Arabs had turned off the spigot -
Damn.
I think that if the Khan was still around I'd open the gates for him and say "Come on in"

you know me and 2 friends drove my vw to cali in 73 for 40 bucks and change....the countries gone financially insane in the last 40 years....i really dont know how people do it....car...insurances....house payments.....when i do rent a car it costs more to insure it per day than to rent the damn thing....im with u let the hordes descend.....this place has gone totally batty....its no wonder the news is full of people flippin out on a daily basis, and its only on the fast track to getting worse.....damn shame....american dream my ass...it died somewhere in the reganomics daze.....
