Autumn in the sighting sky

As autumn approached and the rain
Became as a daily passing between
Winter and summer where the years
Collected in the prose of an evening's
Tale
As the night proceeded gently into
The warmth of a fire's light and the air
Became cold
As the howling in the distance by wolves
And the stars
Climbed to another height by which
The darkness became clear in the sightings
And visions of time
As the poem presented itself
In the ambient light of the stars and moon
As time became still like placid lakes
And a sea that never slept
As it came about now
This moment progressing
Toward the peaceful chambers
Of melodies
Syncopated by the silent interludes
Of wordless kisses
As the phrasing midnight drew
Closer to where the rock face and glib
Fell into to mirror of a smiling
Pond
As if what remains of the day
Becomes night by chance
As if you can remember the entire
Landscape
And the morning that never seemed
To cross the horizon
Circles in the light of nightly embraces
Geometric and concentric
Rivulets of colour
That washed the seeming endless blue
Became as a daily passing between
Winter and summer where the years
Collected in the prose of an evening's
Tale
As the night proceeded gently into
The warmth of a fire's light and the air
Became cold
As the howling in the distance by wolves
And the stars
