it's OK to be a flasher

want to stay semi-sane
write yourself notes, write poetry
write down your thoughts
right now....write now

it's the el cheapo therapy
for those on a budget,
all the answers you search for
are just a little graphite away

they settle inside your little sentences
those sentences can be inside
your little paragraphs, or those sentences
can be the length of your prison term

keep a small pad in your pocket
a pencil behind your ear, stop !
what you are doing, right now
write now....it's OK

dim all the screens, look
in another direction
the world will keep on turning
reach for your tiny notebook,

dislodge your number 2... write !

for a minute...write
for an hour and a half
expose yourself.... open
the trench-coat of your truth

Genghis Khan was just a frustrated writer
he chose rape pillage plunder & full on cavalry assault
as the way to soothe his soul because he couldn't
get his sentences or his poetry wild enough
to fit the beat of his heart
or the pumping of his blood
Hell yeah, Mongolia!
write on!

since 2001 i mostly write/right
on the various puters ive had
ipad most times these daze
i always have a spiral on me
mainly for work notes
and a line or three that might
come from within....
