The winter Raven (through the unsuspecting human)

Like the dark horse within the wind
Like the night fiercely falling
Like the stars behind the clouds bend
Or the winter raven constantly calling.

The bleak winter song is fleeting
Sending my spirit to an all time high
Leaving time for the upcoming meeting
Where the snow keeps to flight.

Tis time for ice, snow and bitter cold
The raven laughs with each chilling caw
Sweeping above the highest threshold
Laughing at those below and the growing flaw.

His talons stretch to grasp those below
Laughing more with each sweeping chance
Sending fear spreading to those who know
That "Poe" with his "Raven" hath found them In a glance.

Cawing in his spiraling hellish games
Then again to the heavens to soar;
Only to go down again screaming the names
And in his echoing caw you hear......"nevermore, nevermore"

America in its early days produced some fine thinkers/writers/poets
Poe was one of them, he took it to another level, of the human psyche.
Your poem is following in his foot steps, which is a potent place to be.
There is so much here to immerse yourself in, you seem to have a penchant
for Poe. You are in a deep vein so it is inexhaustible, it depends on how far
you want to go with Poe. At any rate, this is your territory now. Fly high,
and fly low. You can't go wrong with Poe. The Gothic world awaits your
pleasure.Maybe the Raven is your totem, so to speak. I would like to
recommend a female writer to you, her name is Riki Ducornet.
