Conversations with my drink

Post by izeveryboyin » December 12th, 2014, 3:22 am

This tequila has questions for me
I don't have any fucking answers
And so this wasteland of past sins just sits vast and haunting
before me.
I don't have any fucking hiking boots either.
And I know inside I'm this cruel bitch with this heartless soul
But I care so much
I care too much.
And the twinkle in my eye is drowning in that sea of cares
I am undone.
So shut up tequila
You don't know me.
You don't know what I've been through
I'm using you
Always have been
For your warmth.
For your comfort.
For your...
Numbness
That's what I long for the most
That quiet.
So don't fuck it up by asking me questions
that I don't have the answers to.
I just need that quiet
I need that numb
I need that you and me alone in an empty room
I need that trust.
sometimes I just like to breathe.

We cry in our beer and whine with our wine…why can't we converse w/a tequila. I bartended most of my way through college. I knew a guy who slept w/his Barcardi 151. It was his best friend.

No one really knows what a person goes through, but I did enjoy the glimpses here.

when i was 15 I guzzled almost a fifth of scotch whiskey in about ten minutes.
I had a tendency to repeat episodes like that until I was about 30, on occasion.
I never again guzzled a fifth of whiskey in around ten minutes at 15, because
I prolly would not have made it to 16. Oh what am I saying, I did drink enough
alcohol when I was 22 to kill an elephant one night, and for some reason I am still here.
Beats me.... :( :o  :? 8)

Cool. My drink doesn't speak per se, but it has been known to tell on me ...

when I first heard the Eagles singing , "it's another tequila sunrise", i was having one...in Key West....and there were many back then....today I still have a bottle in the pantry...like a shot here and there, but have substituted meditation and exercise for booze and hard drugs...

a man once wanted to prove to Diamond Jim Brady that his drinking was going to kill him

so he took two glasses...one had water in it, the other had whiskey

he dropped a worm into each glass.....the worm in the water swam just fine

the worm in the whiskey began to gag, and croaked, falling to the bottom of the glass

so the smug young tester turned to Diamond Jim and said, "There !...You see now ?"

Jim turned slowly and said to the man, " I do. I do !....If you drink enough whiskey

you will never get worms "
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
