trip on

The first time I walked down Haight street 67'
my vision was like infinite crystal clear blue
I looked one way up and looked the other way
down all the way to the golden gate park entrance
down one way I saw the past up the other I saw the
future, when I returned later, and the acid
was coming on, I felt the electric colors flashing
all around the people on the sidewalk, flowers
in all the young girls hair, I walked through the gate
of the future, there was no turning back now
I knew I was entering my young life through the looking glass
what was happening here in San Francisco was awakening
it was a prismatic moment that happened once in a cry
a node of novelty was opening its vortex of revolution
bohemians become beatnik's become hippies, the child of
the aeon was juggling colored balls, the poetry from jazz
neon balls shining through the dark city has spoken its magic
this incredibly enchanting marvelous melting moment that lasts
in eternity, and ends now the forever changes memory I trip on
