marooned

who can help me now... seems somehow
my unworldly quests, have all but failed,
who has seen... what it is I've yet to find
(the undefined), the prize worth dying for,
to some degree... I've cracked the theme
but my train of thought, became derailed,
among my wreckage... the crossing sign
it flashes... knowing less is knowing more,

the moment expired... yet from its memory
evolved desires, that symbols can't explain,
visions so inexpressive... they had to be true
now it's all gone awry, washed into the abyss,
my mind is getting lost... says it needs space
across universe again, I guess it's all a game,
with little left to thrill ... what is a human to
it's too late to think, on the brink of total bliss,

that purpose... perhaps the grandest illusion
it goes without the saying, to be so resolute,
years upon years on that trail... as I grew cold
behold the end is here, what shall we embrace,
any path may find you... all can lead you astray
but the calculated traveler, limits every pursuit,
better to linger a bit... notice a moment unfold
time will catch you later, without all the haste

have I learned a thing or two... ego says it's so
consciousness aside, unveils a flawed equation,
isn't intelligence a dimension... I'm just asking
and not to mention reality, isn't it still a theory,
it doesn't bring me down... it's part of my dream
every waking moment of it, a colorful persuasion,
I just can't believe in a world... so full of things,
it takes my breath away, and it's worn me weary

everything is of an unknown origin... Hallelujah
so what is left to chase, besides our silly tales,
I've got an answer... if you didn't already know
immortality, the quantum state of being departed,
but don't read me wrong... I am a patient mortal
I remain prepared, save the coffin and some nails,
from now and until then... it'll be my easiest goal
expectations are futile, when spying the uncharted

JustWalt, your poem hit the nail on the head about how I've been feeling lately.
It's like throwing a feather off of the Grand Canyon & waiting for it to hit. 8)

thanks very many steve

this one was taken out of a much
darker and longer piece that's been
hiding in the computer for about
6-7 months now

(knowing less is knowing more)
that's the basic message intended

seek nothing
and prosper

wow, I like that phrase

peace

thank you Whoa...
too much happening on this world,
not enough time to just spend alone...

unless yer good at multi-tasking, like...
I meditate while driving,
autopilot, you know

thankx

Yep, enjoyed this piece.

- Do I hear Star Trek echoes - "expectations are ('resistance is') futile" and "seek nothing
and prosper"
??

fascinating...
a logical assumption, Terri.
my concise wording and
Symmetrical style is to blame
for the last line, the other
phrase surprised even me

thank you much

how questions
have more than one answer

how answers can have
more than one question
