Night Table

Post by 68degrees » January 15th, 2015, 10:03 pm

Eye glasses
dimes, three pennies
brass house key
a dog-eared book
of Emily Dickinson,
its tiny words
washing
me over
another evening
of talking
only to myself

brief and full like an Emily Dickinson poem. You get in so much with a minimum of words. Emily would have liked your poem.
