Past the Midnight Blues

warlords don't understand war
pacifists don't understand peace
everybody understands loneliness
loneliness disagrees with everything
no exceptions
so the seer
sneaks to treat the weeds
a breeze blows a plastic bag
across a street
born to serve
born to swerve
a wolf weaves trees
into the broken car
as creeps are freed
weeps the word
a prick priest bends to grease his keep
catch & release
sweeps a hand over silent screams
what's good & obvious
leaps up beyond sneer

seems it means lots of things,
moves just fast enough to keep
from putting a finger on it,
but great just the same

:D

the rhyming moves this along. Does have a Blues feel to it. The last two lines are outstanding. great close to the poem.
