I turn the volume way down low
pick up my writing weapon
click the point into position
dig deeply into the yellow pad

I'm not writing.....I'm carving

my initials into the paper tree of my sanity,
I plunge into the lined sheet
not suited for men with sharp things
and heavy hands,
thick black ink outlines the slashes
through the tablet

yet
I haven't said a damn thing.....
only announced my desire

it looks rather violent

something is eating me
if I was cutter it would be my skin
but luckily I am just a frustrated writer
with a story itching for freedom
as it claws through my flesh unimpeded

i slice the paper again
symbiosis
yin.....yang

has another cheap ballpoint pen

the Yellow Legal Pad Romper has left another one for Scotland Yard

Craved words are good.

sounds like a manufacturers defect,

check for a recall on that pen...

or put the pen in a vise and write with the paper

sculpt that word
till it sings

the impact of the ball point on the yellow pad was so physical- it was like- lay down and feel this- 50 shades of ball point-
what is the point? does anyone know how to spell ?point?
im sure like the cloak of invisability [harry potter] that the point where the ink meets the paper is somewhat next to spiritual- sometimes my hands and heart will be aching and i have said nothing= at all- yet im sure as if by symbols and certain sounds that we unlock each other from some odd bondage only a real writer can feel-
but feel full of myself for escaping even my own convictions
finding a back door to my own ridgid rules

of which i made up as i went along anyway


applying for the job of getting real
with you on the inside
and so if i slide out the back door
i know you will forgive me

invited to be social
and running from contact
my nerves are on the outside of my skin
