how does one decipher
the core, with all that other
show business
going on in the background
a cast of thousands !

read the lines on my face
face the music
the music holds the keys
get it ?....the keys
how 'bout the sharps and flats, how 'bout
the sharp edges on my flat top haircut
someone told me they are coming back
it all comes back. the clothing
the music, paintings....my memory
the good, the bad, the ugly
back through the worm holes
of this spaghetti western face,
the holy worms have spoken !
have crept inside my mind's ears
and made me want to write these things
these words...right here, right now
and I'd like to disavow them
but I can't because this happens to be my truth
my mind has an addiction
it likes to wander without restraint,
and when it needs a fix, well
all I can do is get out of the way
they tell me this is love
