State of the art
ladders
now feature
belly soft,
dna tested
rungs,
that squish,
like silly putty,
when you step
up on them.
While you
still feel
the thrill of
going for
something
out of reach,
out of dream,
or a little skyer,
those brilliant,
just-patented,
stretched fiber
steps,
never let
you get
a foot,
off the
ground.

i like this.
i wonder why the ladders are dna tested.
ph balanced? or genetically modified?
a little skyer.
a foot off the ground. i like the layers given. i can go a direction or three with each line [word.] (did you write this on a popsicle stick? *g*)
but i guess you might think of dna as a ladder.
and that makes laddermaking an art.

Heh Heh!
This is too funny.
I been climbin' that ladder for awhile now...
Wondered why I ain't got no higher...
I thought it was just me, as usual.
While you
still feel
the thrill of
going for
something
out of reach,
out of dream,
or a little skyer,
those brilliant,
just-patented,
stretched fiber
steps,
never let
you get
a foot
off the
ground.
Hmmm, another government-backed scheme to protect us from ourselves no doubt.
Raw Raw Raw
Sis boom baw
Fuck the government
Fuck the law
(I'm just kidding I'll say anything for rhyme value)
I am a law-abiding citizen
with a very sore butt!
Great poem Hes! Made me smile.
Humor really is the best defense no? It has shielded me many a time.

I thank you MB and Mousey for your responses very much.
Sometimes I think that humor and music are what really keep me alive.
I had fun creating this, it tempered my frustrations, calmed my fears, of which it seems there have been so many of in the past few years.......frustrations, fears, losses, changes.
I got another job app rejection yesterday....which inspired this.
Thanks again for readin me so good!
