Putting it in Writing

(repost 'cause I deleted it before for whatever reason I can't remember.. whatever)
.

Dad always said,
Don't put anything
in writing.

Why? I asked and
he shook his head,
dead set on no reply,
as if I'd find out why by
not heeding his advice,
much as he expected.

And now keepsakes
are infected by spy eyes
which peak in on love and
lust thrust from a pen.

It would have been
best to keep the cap
on the quill.

Beware.
Dad was right.
Anything which
can be shared — will.

kinda reminds me of the novel 1984....big brother is here baby...we are being heavily monitored.....surveillance is everywhere....metadata gathered....facial recognition warehoused....dad had a healthy skepticism

I bought the 1984 book. Read it cover to cover.
I'm a paranoid reader, a literature lover.
I don't trust emails or private messages, either.
I don't trust anyone, as well.
Fuck me. I'm prolly going to hell.

Disregard my rhyme.
i've been stupid too many times.
How do you trust another?
Everything written
is sharable, brother!
