Putting it in Writing

(repost 'cause I deleted it before for whatever reason I can't remember.. whatever)
.
Dad always said,
Don't put anything
in writing.
Why? I asked and
he shook his head,
dead set on no reply,
as if I'd find out why by
not heeding his advice,
much as he expected.
And now keepsakes
are infected by spy eyes
which peak in on love and
lust thrust from a pen.
It would have been
best to keep the cap
on the quill.
Beware.
Dad was right.
Anything which
can be shared — will.
