Nice----I liked the Lennon sisters. The wholesome sirens of 50 or so years ago.

Interesting things in your poem

people look taller in a country café
even small Margaret, Leo’s wife,
who once lent me her Lemon Pledge;
my apartment smelled like Margaret
for weeks

and Leo himself

Leo milked cows for forty-three years,
cursing every one of them by name;
he often played polka music while milking,

A different world.

Irish:

Leo and Margret very real people. Both dead now sorry to say. I have a whole essay devoted to Leo and his polka music w/his cows. He believed in the power of polka and milk production....but after an entire lifetime of milking cows, he grew bitter about it.

Thanks for picking up on the nuances.
