Garbage Truck

What a thrill it was
for them to see,
the garbage truck
come down the street

two little boys
just 2 and 4,
that truck is what
they waited for

it's wind, it's grind
it's crushing roar,
truly a monster
metaphor

2 boys caught up
in its sheer power,
their imagination
wildly soared

who could not love
a garbage truck,
machinery
so grandly struck

and these boys wished
with any luck,
someday they'd drive
that garbage truck!
