What if?

Post by Doreen Peri » August 4th, 2015, 5:46 pm

written February something or other 2014

......

What if the sun refused to shine?
What if all of the water in the sea
became contaminated and no life
could survive? What if the moon fell
out of the sky and crashed into your heart
and your body fell apart, crumbled into
dust? What if you were deaf, dumb,
and blind? What if your limbs got
blown away yesterday while you fought
for some cause but then you realized
you'd been brainwashed but it was too
late, your legs were gone? What if there
were no lyrics, no songs? What if your parents
died right in front of your eyes and you ended
up having nightmares the rest of your life?
What if there were no more ants? What
if your pants caught fire and your entire
body became engulfed in flame?
What if nobody ever said hello or knew
you by your name? What if your brain
stopped functioning properly, paranoia
setting in and you ended up locked up
in an insane asylum? What if you died
by heart attack suddenly, your children
left with no father? What if you decided
not to bother getting up in the morning
to feed the cat? What about that?

the cat would be pissed off....then it might piss on You....'cause cats get upset when you fuck with the routine... 8)

you may end up where you are heading

I'm totally with saw on this one. That cat wouldn't be to happy.
And above me the stars align
But not yet with my own
And the night birds sing
Whilst the demon haunts this restless soul.

I wrote this as a spontaneous poem reply on another site where someone was saying "what if this or that" talking to me like I was stupid, so I thought it would be fun to write some "what ifs" which ended in absurdity. *shrug* .. thanks for reading... I LOVE my cats. I make sure they're well fed. :)

There is no what if at all if you don't feed the cat----there will be one helluva loud MEOW---and it wouldn't resemble anything like a purr
