every day is an anniversary
of something for someone
clouds cross
& uncross the sun
as i remember why i
mark this day

directly to the point. love it.
Remembering the special days of others
Is something that should be done daily

i'm fortunate to remember to remember... that in itself is celebratory.

guess I've forgotten
most of what I knew by now
so lets make a toast
to all that once was here
and is now somewhere else

This is true. We don't think about what you wrote usually but a conscious thought as found in your poem rivets this into our consciousness. Everyday has some significance in somebody's life and is an anniversary of something for someone.
