The Internet and Life Itself

back online
amazing how rodents gnaw the imaginary wires
how being in touch with the world
can stop
and there you are Laika, first dog in space
in touch with nobody
all alone
maybe like consciousness itself at the end
adrift
nothing works
no gravity to hold you to this life
wife, sons, daughters strangers then
the United States of America meaningless
God
maybe the one you were taught about
maybe not
pops up in His Glory
or
like a bubble pops
and there you are
traveling through the tunnel of your mind
spit out naked
a baby on a beach
but a baby what ?
or just like a cloud
you dissipate
mere molecules
dumb-inert-inorganic
snipped fingernails
your whole body a fingernail
not you
your mind ?
is it like sleep
a stealthy thief
and you unaware of your loss ?

"ground control to major Tom" is what I heard when I read the reference to Laika the space dog....this abandonment one feels when the tether is broken....for whatever reason....and sometimes....it just comes out of the blue
