I often like to write simply ya know
ain't always about metaphoring
your ass off, both feel comfortable
and neither feels more real, and all
the styles come from the mixing bowl
of my emotions, fed by the cynical lady
with the ebb and flow....and on a good night
she's as mighty as The Rhine, demanding
her presence be acknowledged
throughout all the little villages that wait
for her sexy power to turn the wheels of grist,
I can't really help where the poem goes
powerless to predict either fork, go left ?
go right, down that gravel road... for the life of me
can't convince myself that the lady prefers
a gentleman with a sense of caution, hell some days
that ol' gal just plows right on through the damned cornfield

If I learned one never thing in life, especially down on Hollins Street, it was to mind my own business.......a good way to to stay alive
