The trolley with the dog
4 people laughing someone's birthday
They Google me
Every painting I did comes up
I was somehow swallowed by my dreams
Right there with the noise of the trolley
All my folly
On the way home
Dog had to go to Safeway
Buy a new frisbee
A child wanted to throw it for him
I said its dirty
And he threw it
Up in the air for mister
A few times
A man gets on
Tells his wife to
" come here"
The energy had me move as far away as I could get
From that voice
The child and the dog could no longer play
The woman obeyed
Torn and frayed
Relationships
Look like bombed cities
I watch in horror
As each of us run like refugees
From the confines of patriarchy
4 people laughing someone's birthday
They Google me
Every painting I did comes up
I was somehow swallowed by my dreams
Right there with the noise of the trolley
All my folly
On the way home
Dog had to go to Safeway
Buy a new frisbee
A child wanted to throw it for him
I said its dirty
And he threw it
Up in the air for mister
